The Centauri fighter is a high speed attack ship that is capable of both atmospheric, and non-atmospheric combat. It appears to be armed with two powerful ion-cannons, as well as two plasma guns and a compliment of missiles. Power source is a fusion reactor based on the M/A-M converters used on the Centauri capital ships.

This class of fighter is as fast as an Earth Alliance fighter and, despite it's atmospheric wings, is suprisingly manuverable. This class of fighter has a superior acceleration time to that of a Starfury and it’s on-board computers are significantly more advanced than those on a SA-23. It is not uncommon for Centauri pilots to engage in drastic and stressful maneuvers that will cause pilots to black out, as their fighter’s “AI” is advanced enough to carry out extremely difficult pre-programmed maneuvers while the pilot is unconscious. Armor and weapons on the Centaur fighter, however, are slightly less powerful than those of an Earth Alliance Starfury.

Very little information is available, thus it was necessary to take what few observations we had of this fighter, and take those observations to their logical conclusion.
